Other posts exist, given but I wanted to cite a new thread.

Obama, holds last speech at McCormick; the most expensive venue in the lower 48. Further, briefly discusses activism within a community whom in the last year had surpassed the per capita murder rate of LA and NYC.....with the most restrictive gun laws. Look it up. Chicago is now the murder capitol of the lower 48.

For those unknown....you can't even buy ammo in IL without a FOID card. The argument of those crossing state lines is also moot as Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota won't sell to out of state DL's.

Rahm, his buddy is no where to be found. Blugovich is still rotting in prison for trying to sell his Senate seat. Jesse Jackson Jr.; construct of the Illinois political system is also in jail on corruption. Yet his daddy still is all over CNN as holier than thou presence.

O goes back one more time to pander and circlejerk what's left of his followers. From this seat the numbers are limited....

I very much like judge Nepolitanos commentaries on Fox. Not because I believe all...but because I like to think:

What if what you are told isn't true
What if truth wasn't factual
What if interests governed your mind
What if facts were driven by interests
What if you were told what to believe
What if you believed everything you were told
What if you didn't know the difference
What if your ignorance was assumed
What if most don't question or fact check
What if people that want to control you know this

Food for thought. This above is my own paragraph statement....not judge N. I created this dialogue myself.

They prefer to revel in their ignorance. Btw, the Chicago area shouldn't be confused with the rest of Illinois. It's mostly conservative. 4951

I know people living in Chicago and they are moving. Crime, high taxes, cost of living. They are sick of it. Houston is going to surpass them in a few years as one of the largest cities. 4951

And it appears it won't be long before Houston surpasses Chicago in population....and yes in crime.  How many murders have we had in Houston over the last twelve months?. How many smash and grabs have we had? With the proliferation of guns Houston is slowly returning to the "good old days of the wild west". 4951

@calguy:

Looking at top 39 cities - murders/1000 residents, Houston doesn't even make the list. Chicago is #30. Safety (sort of) in numbers I guess.

A lot of what you say is true. Houston crime is getting worse, but what else do Chicago and Houston have in common? They are both run by Democrats! 4951

One thing that Houston and Chicago have in common is the racial "diversity". 4951

@ET: I will still hit a Cubs game or a few beers on Navy Pier. There is also an Irish Pub near the downtown Metro stop that has great corned beef.

So, how do all those shooters in Chicago get the guns to do all this murdering? I thought Chicago had one of the strictest gun control laws in the country? What happened that the bad guys can get past these strict gun laws?

@TXtransplant: You and I are on the same page. I'll bet you're not a youngster, either. Most of them are so thoroughly brainwashed, these questions are sacrilegious to them.

@TexasOma:

“There’s no paperwork. It’s a private purchase,” the private collector told us.
In the gun show parking lot, we met another private collector who told Bury how to make an illegal straw purchase through me.
“If he’s from Indiana, just have him buy it and write out a bill of
sale that you bought it off of him,” the parking lot dealer said. “And
that’s all you got to do.” 4951
