Its been a rainy dreary day and I am making dog treats to spoil my senior dog in the New Year.  High-value Dog TreatsThe perfect homemade high-value dog treats for training. Easy, inexpensive, and irresistible to dogs. Your pup will do anything for these things. Also cat friendly–your cat would probably be willing to trip you for one.Course Dog Treats Emoticonrep Time 5 minutesCook Time 15 minutesTotal Time 20 minutesServings 2 cupsAuthor TracyIngredients1 3.5 oz can tuna fish (oil or water is fine, do not drain)1 large egg3/4 cup (90g) all-purpose flour1/4 shredded cheese (optional)InstructionsPreheat oven to 350°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a food processor or blender, combine tuna and egg and process until completely pureed.Add flour and pulse until a thick paste forms.Spread paste evenly over about an 8x8 square on your parchment-paper-lined baking sheet (it doesn't need to be exact or pretty). Bake for 15 minutes, until mixture is set.Allow to cool slightly before slicing into 1/2-inch squares (1/4-inch for cats).Store in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. 4951

Just a reminder to people that there are some peanut butters on the market that have some sugar substitutes in the product so please be sure to read the labels as the artificial sweeteners are deadly to dogs and cats - well, probably to all animals, including humans. 4951

Now just to figure out how to get away with opening a can of tuna in the house without the cats uniting and taking the whole can, and possibly a few fingers in the process. Emoticon 4951
