Everyone always complains about millenials having an entitlement problem, but I've personally experienced more baby boomers with this problem. For example, today this lady lost her receipt and acted like it was my fault. She read the store return policy, but she acted like it didn't apply to her. She called corporate on me and they are sending her a gift certificate. So, you're punishing me, because you were unorganized. There are plenty of businesses that have the same policy.

No rants from me today, but I am a bit frustrated.  My wife broke her Samsung Galaxy S3, so we ordered Galaxy S7's to replace ours.  There are some similarities, but there are also a lot of differences between the S3 and S7.  It also didn't transfer things as simple as Samsung said it would.  I'm keeping my old S3 as a backup, which will replace my wife's S7 if/when she breaks it.  Every upgrade has usually been a result of her dropping her phone in water.  This is the first time she broke it (well, just the screen).  One dunking was done by a small child when she worked at a pre-K/K school. 4951

@ET:  We like Otterbox.  She had one on her S3 and we've got one for the S7.  She tripped on some stairs, caught herself from falling, but her S3 went flying.

It broke in the case? Don't they guarantee no breakage? 4951

It broke in the case? Don't they guarantee no breakage?

@ET:  It apparently hit something solid on the screen side.  She didn't even realize that she'd lost it at the time.  Our daughter found it.  The "rubber" or elastomer used in most cases usually harden over time, rendering them less shock-absorbing, although it probably wouldn't have helped in this case.   I had to replace the nice rubber grips with nice wood inserts on my Ruger GP-100's because they had gotten hard.  Originally, they helped cushion the recoil.  Once the rubber hardened, it was like shooting with a solid grip.  I replaced the grips with some from Hogue.

@champagnechola - I can't speak for you situation, but I think people get a little fed up with businesses and their policies and procedures. It's gone from - the customer is always right - to - the customer is never right and our policy prevails. For example, last month I received a disconnect notice from my electric provider because my auto pay didn't go through. I immediately called and told them I was a bit confused because I have several auto pays set up on the same card and haven't had any issues. I re-set up the auto pay. Then, the next bill comes out and there is a $40 disconnect notice fee on there. I called again and they explained that's their policy. I had to get a little snappy (ok, maybe downright *****y) to get them to remove the charge. I'm just so tired of dealing with stuff like that. It seems their policies have taken the place of common sense and I see it everywhere. I do understand that the person on the receiving end is just doing their job, but sometimes the frustration of the situation just takes over. 4951

Absolutely not I didnt say that or anything like that. A lot of people complain about millenials acting entitled but I haven't heard anyone complain about baby boomers.

@Maisey1:
That's crazy that they were trying to disconnect your service. Having something like that is way more serious, than a $5.99 return.
