I awoke early this morning to make all my xmas cookies & I thought the racket I was making would wake hubby & the dogs . I was wrong ! I'm done with the cookies & have finished breakfast & everyone is still sleeping . Just goes to prove that you should never assume anything . I thought for sure the aroma of the cookies would wake hubby , but it didn't . So I gave up (LOL). 4951

I love cookie day. Especially when someone else is making the cookies. I don't know how your dh can sleep through that good smell. 4951

If you want him to wake up, make bacon. I have never seen anyone sleep through the smell of bacon cooking. 4951

I definitely miss Mom more at Christmas. One is for the obvious reason, but the 2nd reason would be, because that woman could BAKE, and she was really good at it, too! At Christmas time, we never ran out of cookies and bars and pies, and she always made sure she made each person's favorite. It always reminds me of all of the years I would help her baking, too. Lots of great memories. I had an awesome mom! Emoticon 4951

I wish I had about 1,000 more hours befor Christmas Eve lunch. Cookies would be awesome but I am a busy elf!

Preheating the oven now to make a cheat - I saw a yummy sounding bar cookie when I was last at BBB. I love that they have added all the yummies in the store. 4951

@Fallon: right now he is sleeping about 18 to 20 hours a day , our doctor was going to run test on him , but now that he doesn't have any insurance it will have to wait . I do not wake him up when he is sleeping , I know he is very upset over loosing his job , so sleep is the best medicine for him right now . 4951
