You are watching TV or listening to the radio in the car. Your spouse remains quiet as a mouse during commercials. But, as soon as the programming starts, they start talking. 4951

@chilladahun: Maybe he likes the commercials and hates the show. I had a girlfriend that loves the big bang theory but after a while the same shenanigans and plot ceases to be funny. Didn't tell her because I didn't want to start a fight .

Not really. We usually play the radio or music list as background only, and have it low enough so we can talk.

Unless we are both listening to a football game as we travel, then we either both talk about it or we just listen and comment as if we were home watching it. 4951

Ugh yes. Mine will see I'm busy watching something so he picks up his phone and calls his friends and then proceeds to talk to them right next to me while I'm trying to watch tv. 4951

My favorite thing my wife does:

She will usually be sitting feeding the baby, and I can be up and walking around for 20 minutes...but as soon as I sit down somewhere "hey babe, can you get me some water?"

Me: sure babe...
