@foxymama: We have a couple that we rotate around.  Red beans and rice, home-made and cooked all day, or beef stew.  They are always good and worth the time investment to cook at home.

A GOOD old fashioned Chicken Noodle with a grilled cheese sandwich.  Must have lots of noodles and chicken pieces.  Hard to find a really good one these days.  I am not a big soup eater but would love to find a really good chicken noodle. 4951

Shrimp, chicken and sausage Gumbo. With lots of hot sauce and fresh green onions on top! And of course, served boiling hot enough to take the top layer of your tongue off. Sooooooo Good.  4951

@buffaloglenn: I love getting a big pot of red beans and sausage going all day on a Sunday when its cold outside. I always save all the left over ham bones from the holidays in the freezer. I like adding them to the beans and cooking out all the left over bits and marrow into the pot. So good.

Sort of on the subject but a question... Does anyone have or use an Instant Pot?  I like the way the house smells when cooking all day but my nephew has one and says he can make a pot of something like bean soup or stew in like 45 minutes when he gets home from work.  Been considering one but just not sure if it is worth the money. 4951

@Andreweggplant:
what the heck is an instant pot? a pressure cooker?i googled it...you would be better off to get a stainless pressure cooker. nothing to wear out or malfunction. dinners are ready in between 20 and 45 minutes at the most and easy cleanup 4951

@ProblemAgain: Kind of what I was thinking.  I have never used a pressure cooker and thought things took longer to cook.  I like the timer thing on the instant pot...

Man, dudes, I absolutely adore a lovely homemade Veggie Minestrone...Or homemade Chicken Noodle.....  Chicken Tortellini, Lemon Chicken Orzo........A simple Potato, Mushroom or Garden Veggie Soup is always Alright Alright....I honestly very much love Soups....  They're just so comforting to me...And I like to have a "Dipper," such as a fresh French Baguette, to dip and enjoy with my deliciousness.....  And for those of you lookin' for new Soup / Stew ideas, Pinterest has quite a variety of Recipes.....  Just a heads-up, my friends....
