Construction warning from Councilman Dave Martin's office:Beginning Monday, November 7, the City of Houston's Public Works and Engineering Department will perform repairs on concrete panels located at 4102 W. Lake Houston Parkway. During construction, crews will work between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. While one lane will remain open at all times, drivers should expect the right northbound lane to be closed from November 7 to November 11, and the left northbound lane to be closed from November 14 to November 19. Delays are expected in the area during construction. As a result, Council Member Martin has alerted the Houston Police Department's Kingwood Substation and has asked that officers help with traffic mitigation when possible. Additionally, traffic control measures will be in place on site including traffic barrels, traffic cones, directional signage and flagmen. *In Fiscal Year 2016, Council Member Martin identified several needed street repairs in the Kingwood area to allocate funding on using his Council District Service Fund. A total of $433,047.64 was spent on improvements to the area, of which over $180,000.00 was spent on mobility and infrastructure. For more information, please contact the District E office at (832) 393-3008 or via email at districte@houstontx.gov. 4951

Since this work won't be on the weekends, it won't even affect my weekly trip to the new HEB. On a serious note: That sucks for those of ya'll that live in the area that will be affected. 4951

It is a really short stretch of the road... Mills Branch or through Greentree will be an easy work around... Plus one lane will remain open.. I don't think it is going to be a big deal and I live in Mills Branch Village.... JMO 4951

We live east of there. We'll just need to remember to cut over to North Park before getting to West Lake Houston. 4951
