I don't usually post anything on somewhat political topics, but I found the work done by ABC13 here to be quite interesting.  I wish this kind of survey could be done nationally to increase the sample size, and I suspect it would draw the same conclusions.http://abc13.com/news/how-texas-killers-get-their-guns/1575958/ 4951

I'm surprised that guy was able to shoot anyone with those bug eyes.

@buffaloglenn:  Good article.  I agree with the guy that says it has to come from teaching respect.  You'll never be able to eliminate the guns from Houston streets, but if kids can be taught that the gang, hood, victim of society is not the best thing for them, then they won't need guns.  This wouldn't keep guns out of every criminals hands, but it would make a big difference about how they look at themselves and the world. 4951

I don't know @Retired_Engineer and @buffaloglenn.  I was thinking why not pass a new law? Make it totally illegal to steal guns.  And then make another law that makes it super duper illegal to kill someone with a stolen gun.Wouldn't that fix everything?

@Fallon:  Apparently, a lot of people think like that.  Pass laws, then don't enforce them. Yeah, that'll work.
