Super sweet tan male unneutered pit! Found wandering up and down Woodland Hills last night! Seems like he has been well fed and trained... Can't keep him very long so trying to get the word out. Will be taking him to Montgomery County Animal Shelter tomorrow morning.

Just remember this is a Pit Bull; someone might have dumped him Due to a bite problem, ect.  The name says it all; go to www.fatalpitbullattacks.com.  If you place this animal (and you have No history on him) and he attacks or kills a family member of the new "adopted family" you can be legally held responsible or for years of medical bills if he rips a child's face off.  If you you adopt him out then you are "in the business legally".  Pit Bulls, due to their nature and strength, are a very hard breed to properly "house".  They can easily chew through the regular chain link and blow right through the popular privacy fencing around KW.  IF you "house" one you need to upgrade your insurance policy and kennel facility for its exercise.  Too often, I have seen "the uninformed" walking a PIT on a thin little flexi lead.  That's a serious disaster waiting to happen. You should take my comments seriously as I have almost 40 years of experience with true "working dog breeds".  Our neighborhoods in KW are for the residents and children to enjoy with the freedom of walking or jogging and NOT having to worry about a stray PIT BULL running loose.   4951

This was not necessary...   As many people before have stated All pits are not bad.  It can depend on the owner.  I could copy your post and change the dog to chihuahua or Labrador or Poodle as they are just as mean if not meaner because people don't take the time to train them.  YOU are the uninformed (because everything you read on the internet is not always true) not the responsible pit owner.

@doddlebug: I'm sorry but anybody who has 40 years experience with actual working dogs knows that every DOG is different and the media hype over pitbulls is a bunch of garbage. It is the type of people drawn to pitbulls that cause the problems, not the breed itself.

Response to DOODLEBUG:

First of all, did you even look at the dog in the photo?
Do you seriously believe with that smile and and unscathed face he is bred to fight?

You should be as cautious as any breed of dog when you don't know that dog. Pitbulls and the bully breed get such a bad rap when in fact in the 1950s they were known as 'the nanny dog'. Due to their gentle nature with and protectiveness of children.

In my personal opinion I am more fearful at times a little dogs like chihuahuas and Dash Hounds who actually have a much higher percentage rate of causing physical injury during an attack.

I will spread the word I sure hope this loving dog finds his human.
