Just thought I would send out a warning to everyone that has an open house. Take anything valuable with you when you leave your house while the realtor is hosting an open house in your house. We forgot our laptop was upstairs and it ended up missing. 4951

@Ksarginson:

I would at least optimistically contact your agent to ask if he/she relocated it so that it would not be a temptation. 4951

Terrible. I hate a thief. Next time realtor should bring an extra person so they can go upstairs with someone looking. 4951

Must be a little lax these days.  When I was looking at the last house I purchased the realtor went to every room with me. 4951

@Andreweggplant: Was it an open house? They usually just wait in the entryway to greet people and get them to sign in.

Reminds me of an episode of Breaking Bad. Criminals are getting brave and creative. Trust no one. 4951

@frebu:  Some people do not sign in.  The realtor does not make sure they do.  They should be required to show ID and sign in.  Just in case the sign in sheet should be given to police and everyone on the list should be contacted.

Houses in Kingwood sell pretty fast. They shouldn't even need a open house. You can't trust no one anymore. Especially in your house. 4951
