Changes in Texas over the last several years
·         If you exclude Texas, there was a negative job growth result under Obama’s tenure nationwide
·         Texas now has the 12th largest economy in the world
·         During 2010-2014, Texas created more jobs than all other states combined. And most of that was from recruiting companies from New York and California (heavily Democratic ruled) because Texas offers lower regulations & taxes

I would like to know where you got those facts - did you compile them from each website or did you snag this from somewhere?I am not disputing any of them, I am just curious.  4951

@Kraz2014: It was at the beginning of Sean Hannity's show. I paused the TV at each segment and wrote them down. Everyone is encouraged to verify for themselves. The portion about Texas was from an interview later in the show with ex-Governor Perry. 4951

@WskyTngoFxtrt: I see slight issue with the Texas facts.1. Jobs created are mostly low paying & often Temp.2. They are now 2 years old (2014)3. 60,000 jobs lost in 2015 / 2016 in a single industry.

That depends on what you mean by "better", Living in mass produced subdivisions near brown water. Then maybe it is better than Vermont. 4951

Facts are a funny thing especially when they are cherry picked to illustrate a point or opinion. I don't doubt you could pull up some facts that cast a bad light on the years that any other President or party was in power. Some things go up and some down and some are in relation to other numbers changing. When I look at our family's situation, my wife and I in particular I can say that since Obama took office our income has gone up, our investments in stocks, IRA and 401K are very good with strong increases. We are paying less for a gallon of gas now than before. Do I credit Obama or not? Not so much but I also don't fault him for other things. We will never know how the numbers would look if Obama had never won and McCain had or if he had served only one term and Romney had been elected. And by the way, Texas is roughly # 42, at the low end of the scale for quality of education compared to other states. We also rate the highest of any state for those who are uninsured for healthcare.  Am I cherry picking those numbers? Well yes but to prove my point. I love Texas. 4951

@WskyTngoFxtrt: I understand that you may think that, but why? What is the measure? Why is Texas better than Vermont, or Maine, or Ohio, or Oregon, Colorado? I think all of those places and then some are "better". They are certainly nicer, prettier, more accepting of people, less congested and hard working.
