Hubby left at 4 am this morning flying into Houston for inventory . He was really dreading the trip after hearing about the hot & humid weather Houston is having .I told him to enjoy visiting our old friends after work & time would pass quickly for him . I will not be doing any cooking or house work while he is gone . My time will be spent by the pool working on my tan & drinking iced tea.Since I do not have a maid the house work will be waiting for me when I'm ready to do it ....funny how that works out (LOL). 4951

I loved when hubby used to travel for business. That meant eating all my favorite foods in the restaurants he doesn't care for and watching girly tv with no complaints. 4951

It is really hot and humid right now, and will stay that way through tomorrow, then cool off a couple of degrees but remain humid.  It's brutal right now.  4951

Days like this make me wish for a car that has remote start so the ac can be running when I get in the vehicle. 4951

In this weather who wants to be out by the pool attempting to improve their "tan"?All you will receive is a membership in the "Melanoma Society".Like the African American guy said when he was asked why he was sitting next to his pool...."I'm just trying to get my hands to match the rest of my body". 4951

@buffaloglenn: I think you meant to say, "...and will stay that way through September..."

I can barely tolerate the AC in the house.  When I drive, the AC is not on in the car unless someone is in the car with me. 4951

@fcabanski... I know what you mean , I do not care for the a/c at all , so when hubby is away the a/c is off & the windows are open 24/7 , love the fresh air & breeze . Of course we are in Ky. so that does make a difference in the humidity factor. 4951
