I am thinking of moving to Kingwood! Can anyone tell me more about the area and good neighborhoods? Â I am coming out that way this weekend and would like to check it out! Â 4951
Close to the airport, great shopping and variety of restaurants, very good school system. Hospital across the highway from Kingwood; only 30 minute drive to Medical Center in Houston. 4951

@DancerChristy: en.wikipedia.org/wik i/Kingwood,_HoustonO lder neighborhoods are generally closer to 59/69 with shorter access for commuting, while newer neighborhoods are generally more toward the back, increasing commuting time but offering more contemporary architecture and functionality. There is also new construction near the front that is not part of the Kingwood master plan, but is in Montgomery County and offers contemporary design and architecture, with great access to 59. 4951

@ET: I'm sorry but I'm going to need a translation on that one.
@donnatella: The neighborhoods have a lot of variety. There is no point in extolling the virtues of a very expensive area when the poster is looking for starter homes or rentals....or visa versa. 4951
@DancerChristyAs you look at different villages, make sure you pay attention to the property taxes. They are very hefty here, but we found some villages had much higher property taxes than others, they were probably newer. 4951
