Are there any pools in Kingwood that you can go to without being a resident in the neighborhood? I'm willing to pay a fee. I just moved from deer park to Porter in briar tree court and our neighborhood doesn't have a pool and my kids want to go swimming. We don't know anyone who has a pool. Also if anyone knows of splash pads that would be cool too. thanks! 4951

Go to the Kingwood township bldg. (over behind the Chase bank building next to Steinmart on Kingwood Drive). Or maybe call them ahead of time to ask... If you bring proof of your residency (maybe a utility bill?) you should be able to get pool bracelets for whatever 'hoods group together.

Now, does any of what I said make sense? I'm not so sure of myself these days - I'm tired. lol 4951

@Irispixies: unfortunantly no. I think you can pay a drop in fee to use the pool in the humble civic. Also I know you can pay to use one in the woodlands. Im sure there are a few others around.

Probably not in Kingwood, I would check Porter though.  I doubt you can use resident pools if you are not a resident.  I am sure Porter has community or public pools though. 4951

I believe you used to be able to purchase each badge for like $125.00 or something like that but that was back in about 2008.  Not sure if they changed it. 4951

Get the minimum membership at the KWCC. It has a great pool facility and you can use the gym. 4951

Maybe try to Find a resident who has extra pool tags. Otherwise you are out of luck. No splash pads nearby unfortunately. 4951

There is a splash pad in Summerwood but I'm not sure if you need to be a resident to use that.  I believe it's at the park but that's a pretty far ride for you. 4951

@ET: I wasn't the one looking for the pool but now I'm curious - what is KWCC?  My DH has a back injury and he has been going to the local pool trying to get exercise in since he can't walk great and the gym is out for him.  When the pools close I'm sure he is going to want to keep it up.  TIA

@dotti573: Kingwood Country Club. Pool has an adult section and a lazy river. I think it can be used later in the year than the neighborhood ones, but they do shut it down sometime in the fall.Gym is well equipped and usually pretty quiet.

@dotti573, the Summerwood splash pad is now gated with a resident keycard needed for entrance. I think this was just recently added, from a convo I had with a friend who lives there. 4951
