So just after eating lunch (luckily I was the at the Rankin office today) Get a call from DD. She is in the LoneStar parking lot with a flat tire.I have a flat, what do I do.Call AAAI don't know how!Take your card out and follow the instructions. How long will it take?IDK, Usually an hour or two.I don't have time for that. How do I change it?Get your owners manual out and read.More back forth that is meaningless dribble.About now I figure it would be a good time to teach her how to change the tire.25 minutes later at Lonestar Parking lot.Taught her how to change her tire.Lucky for me I have one of those portable 12 volt air compressors, because her spare had like 2 PSI in it.Much BMC later she changed her tire.NOTE - Need to buy her one of those portable air compressors, Birthday in OCT. 4951

@fofa - that happened to me too - same school even, just back in the 90's. My dad worked on the street right beside the school so when my tire went flat who do I call - dad of course! He came right over and decided it was time I learned to change a tire. We figured out very quickly that I was not strong enough to get the bolt thingys off the tire, though. He put my spare on for me and off I went. A few month ago I called him again for the same reason. This time he brought one of those portable air compressors. Now my husband insists I keep one in the car. I'll still probably call dad, though... 4951

The day I got my license, my loving dad let me drive home.  When we parked he said....pull the jack out of the back and take the tire off.  I said Y? You need to know how to change a flat....I already knew how to change the oil :D my dad is the best.  4951

Mine is like trying to find Waldo in the Jungle in a Hurricane...My truck has a 3 or 4 bolts to unscrew to get to the jack from underneath the back seat...it comes in 2 pieces...put it together and then use it to rotate the lever on back bumper to lower spare tire down from underneath the truck....then climb under it and unscrew the wing bolt to release it from the steal cable....Ahhhh!!I used my manual and phone a friend (or two) to figure this out.... 4951
