Worried about leaving my car at Townsen Park and Ride this morning. Thinking about having my DW drop me off over there, I would hate for the water to come up on my car while I'm at work. 4951

@beadweaver: Ditto for my DW, she's like a Boy Scout and prepares a head of time for the worst!

Ummmm I'm gonna say plan B... 80% chance of more rain today and inches of additional rain here and in the basin to the NW, can't see it isn't gonna rise significantly today. I would hope it would be closed. 4951

@Elway07:

Just said 90% and yes why not keep it closed rather than give people false security.
Saying that, let me add common sense. That river is high and we already know the ground let alone rivers, creeks, and bayous all around are overflowing faster than they can report.
Nothing worse then second guessing the smart thing to do.
We are parked. 4951

@KWKayaker:

I parked against better judgment. There were about a third of the cars than normal days (pre-flood). Oh well, I will probably leave work at noon. 4951

So yeah, I didnt end up parking over there. Tried to go to Kingwood park and ride about 7am but Kingwood drive headed toward WLHP was blocked at KHS by a tree. I turned around and decided to work from home today. Glad I did. 4951

@ZMAN: And THAT would explain the heavy traffic on Tree Lane this morning, headed toward WLHP. Sigh. Be careful out there everyone, especially as schools start letting out at 11a around here! 4951
