Got an Epson watch fitness tracker as a Christmas gift. Never use it. I run 2 miles a day M-F as hard as a I can and lift free weight and other exercises. I think if you are really fit you don't need a fitness tracker. You are already on track.Â
@beastmode: I have to disagree. Fitness trackers and the like can be very useful tools for people who are fit. I use a heart rate monitor for training purposes when running and biking. Running and cycling as hard as I can doesn't cut it when you are doing an endurance event. My HR monitor helps me to keep in my "zone". It's not a good thing when you are tapped out 30 miles into a 70 mile ride.
I also loved having my Jawbone in Germany last year- I loved seeing my daily mileage ( one day it was close to 18 miles!!) and I didn't have to waste phone battery on my GPS app. I also love using the sleep portion to monitor my deep sleep.
I do agree that it's not absolutely necessary that everyone have one - they can be very motivating and provide helpful info to those of us who feel the need for info about what we're doing.
I'm hoping to get a FitBit Charge for my BD- that way I don't have to wear my HRstrap for Times when training isn't critical like walking or using my hybrid bike.
