@jax: That seems to be the thing of the future (our future anyway).

I can't over emphasize...drink water, water, water. Tons of it.

I've been border line kidney failure for years. Every time it gets close, I side step it by drowning myself. Train yourself to drink a lot and urinate completely.

Keep close contact with your kidney specialist. It's a must do!

Good luck, lots of water and my Dr said only tylenol for pain (because it is metabolized by your liver not kidney) ibuprofen, aspirin and others are metabolized by your kidneys.   4951

@jaxMy friend, I am truly so sorry to hear of your most unfortunate Health concerns....  I'll be sure to keep you in my prayers....   And as mentioned above, please increase your H2O intake, and consider adding fresh Lemon to your beverages, as it's an all natural detoxification agent...  Also, I would suggest getting off of  all Caffeine in the meantime, adding a Vitamin C, D, and Fish Oil Supplement to aid in boosting your Immune System, as well as sippin' on some Hot Herbal Teas (Caffeine Free) to aid and promote positivity and healing in your body....  I am just, again, just so sorry that you're even going thru such unpleasantness...     I'm here, dude, if you need anything....

Always, I mean always get a second and third opinion regarding kidney issues.
Bad decission can kill both kidneys.
I've been on the way for presurgery tests for kidney removal, only to end up in another hospital that decided removal wasn't necessary. This actually happened and has come close motte than once.
Test, retest and test again! 4951

Praying for you and hoping your kidneys are OK. I am on chemo. The most important thing to remember is drink one full glass with s little lemon and drink lots and lots all day. You of course are not on chemo but we eat so many things with pesticides now we have to get them out of our bodies. Drink drink and drink. God bless 4951

Been having kidney issues for the last 5  years. I've been in the hospital for it more times than I care to remember. This past November after moving, I wasn't drinking enough water and because of the locations of the stones I went into renal failure and spent a week in the hospital and came home to having a home health care nurse stop by every coupe of days because they put a pic line in me to get rid of the infection.  There are different types of stones, the make-up that is, well of course mine are weird, don't show on X-rays and I really never have pain, so by the time I realize it the infection has set in and it's bad. Good luck maybe it's just a fluke one time kidney  stones.  A little later today I'll be peeing in a cup, on my way................. to the doctor. 4951
