The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a flood warning for the residents near the West Fork of the San Jacinto River in Kingwood & Humble. As of 6:45 this morning (3/10/16), the stage was at 47.8 ft. Flood stage is at 49.3 ft. The river is forecasted to rise beyond that mark by this afternoon, and continue to at least 51 ft by tomorrow evening. The level should drop below flood stage by Monday (3/14/16) evening.- Persons are urged to stay away from the river until water levels recede.- Motorists should avoid water covered roads and find alternate routes.- Livestock and equipment should remain out of the flood plain for the next few days. 4951

We went over at lunch, more cars down there now than normal! Guess they didn't get the memo, I am for certain, I would not eat anything out of that river, I know folks that live up stream and YUCK! it is very high and out of its banks at Forest Cove.  4951

It's probably the subdivision at the river off Forest Cove Dr. I just drove down Sunrise Trail and the water has not risen except slightly into the ditches.
 
I expect that the low end of Forest Cove Dr. and Lakeshore Dr. & the Northshore subdivision will have water tonight and be inundated with reporters who want to show the rising waters on their ankles!

When we were driving down Hamblen this afternoon, Channel 13 was heading back to Northshore to stake out their position to stand in water!
