Just got a call from my MiL over at Watercrest. She never calls this early so I was a bit worried. But she called because she forgot to tell me there is a Christmas party for the residents at her apartment complex this afternoon and she is supposed to give a gift. No value was specified but I figure $15 would be about the max I want to spend as she lives on a budget. It would need to be for an older person of either sex or couple.Any suggestions? I was thinking of one of those battery operated candles or a set if I can find at that price, the ones that come on for so many hours. 4951
That's a great gift. Kohls should have them at that price or less. Plus kohls has coupons. Bed and bath and beyond may have them too. Maybe hallmark up front by Randall's. You could them. There's also a hallmark next to HEB. 4951
Check home goods. You can put together some really cute things for $15 from there. Maybe a holiday mug with tea or coffee and some shortbread and peppermint swizzles? I love that store for cheap but impressive gifts. When I hosted a golf outing earlier this fall I did nearly all our raffle prizes from there. The men loved it because even if they didn't want the gift it was perfectly put together for a regift to a secretary, wife, or hostess! Lol 4951
A digital thermometer. I bought one that tells indoor and outdoor temps for my grandmother. She LOVES that thing, as do all of her 90-something friends. 4951
A basket of teas, two pretty spoons, a nice pair of tea cups and two matching napkins and placemats. Include some tea biscuits, petit fours and tea related snacks. Spec's would be a great place to find everything and Bed Bath and Beyond would be great for the napkins and placemats. 4951
