Any Free Events happening next week until Christmas? My mom is coming in town and I don't have much to spend for entertainment. 4951

@Annie:

That's our tradition as well. Usualy just a couple of days before Christmas.

You could get some friends together and go caroling.

Don't forget to check the "things to do" tab at the top of the page. How about sitting down with her and the family and writing your own Christmas story? Cookie baking and/or decorating? Collecting pine cones and using suet or peanut butter and seeds to make outside decorations for a tree or shrub in your yard, that will draw the birds and squirrels in where you can see them. How about asking her to bring some old family photos and then getting the information for each - who is in it, what  year was it taken, what was the occasion, maybe there was something important or really funny that happened at that time. You won't know unless you ask. My mom and Grandparents are gone now, so that is something I wish I had done long ago.  Make sure you get pictures of yourself with her, I don't have any with my mom after I was a baby. Visit Jessee Jones Park or the Arboretum and enjoy nature together. Take a camera and get pictures of everyone together. Make popcorn and watch silly holiday movies together. 4951

Maybe Old Town Spring and do some window shopping. Lots of decorated little shops there.

I've heard there is a place in 1725 in Cleveland. It's a huge ranch all decorated. It's free. Then down the street from it on 1725 and its huge with lots of lights. I think the 2nd one is like $2. I think you take 105 west til you get to 1725. I've never been there but heard it's beautiful and lots of lights. 4951

Livingston has a Christmas Festival on Saturday. Food, vendors, lots of activities. There's a free train village to visit, & a lighted Christmas parade which begins at 6 p.m. I think. We go every year. 4951
