I need to replace a toilet in an upstairs bathroom. We called Kenneth's, but we haven't heard back from him and now his voice-mailbox is full. So my wife calls John Moore. They come out and look at the toilet, then immediately want to know about our water heaters, A/C, electrical, etc. I have two 40 gallon gas water heaters in my attic that were the originals when I bought this house almost 23 years ago (which is extremely old for water heaters). I know we've been lucky so far and that I need to replace them, so I asked them for a separate quote to replace both water heaters. They came back with a quote of $1,200 for the toilet and $7,400 for the water heaters.... a total of $8,600!!!!I told him he could leave me a copy of the quote but I was going to get other bids.We then called LesCon yesterday and they came out a little after noon today. They replaced the toilet for right at $300. I will be calling them for a quote on replacing the water heaters. My wife now knows NOT to ever call John Moore! Anyone have similar experiences with other companies?

Yea basic labor for a replacement toidy is 129.00 with lowes plus new unit . So they are pretty much in line with them if you figure a new one costs around 160 to 180 ... 4951
