last night I turned off the a/c & opened all the windows in our home  (23 of them ) it dipped to 60 degrees & we had a really awesome breeze all night long . This morning the sun is out but the wind is still blowing & the temperature is still in the 60's . Todays high is suppose to be 80  & breezy so no a/c today . Tomorrow is a different story , close to 90 so the a/c will be back on . But for today we are just enjoying this beautiful weather & I'm doing all the windows in the house so I can get ahead on my fall cleaning. 4951

@WJo:
Sounds wonderful. Another thing I miss. Sleeping with windows open, having that smell of fresh summer breeze flow through the whole house, no ac.
You have a blissful blessed day.

@beadweaver...I know what you mean , when we lived in Texas I opened our windows in the  months of Nov-Dec-Jan. & all our neighbors thought we were nuts (LOL) but I had to get that "fresh air" into the house & those were the only months that I could open our windows. 4951

I can't wait to move to a more pleasurable place. Texas does have some great things but since moving her after 11 years in Arizona I can not enjoy the sun. I go purple. Doesn't take long and I'm one to spend 8/ 10 hours in it.
it started right after I got here. I've tried conditioning myself by exposure but that doesn't help.

I love the smell of fresh air blowing through. I woke to 81 this morning. Nice but not a leaf was moving in the forest.

@beadweaver...last night it was 58 degrees & a light breeze, no a/c on. This morning it was 61 degrees at 8am & it is 72 now at 1 pm suppose to get to 80 degrees by 5 pm , then it will cool down again into the upper 60's . Tomorrow  no a/c again as it will be 80 again. Too cold to use the pool for the past 2 weeks , the pool will be closed on Sept. 1st.  I love this weather we are having  my windows are open , the a/c is off & we are saving $$ to boot , can't beat that . Hopefully we can keep the furnace off till Nov. 1st  . I refuse to turn it on till  gets into the 50's during the day . We have 4 seasons here in Kentucky . I really missed that when we lived in Kingwood , it was summer then  fall , we never really saw winter .So I know how you feel . My cousin Phyllis lives in Tuson Arizona & she loves it , but her skin looks like leather & she looks 100 years old from being in the sun & dry weather for over 50 years . So for us we will take 4 seasons over hot & humid any day . 4951

I think Kentucky is beautiful. I did 11 years in the Phoenix suburbs. I will be very happy to see the sand and sun again. 4951

@beadweaver....I wish you happiness always, but I like to be where the seasons  change & there is a winter with snow . I missed the snow so much when we were in Texas I finally told my hubby "I'm going back home , you can come or stay in Texas". He came back with me (LOL). We kept our home here in Ky . so it was just  a matter of selling the home in Texas & moving back here. Sigh, it was wonderful to be back with our old friends & home once again . So I really do know what you mean  when you say "going back home". 4951
