Out of our 3 here, I'd probably have to give the edge to Buddy(in the middle). He's a Heinz 57 of sorts, though he mostly looks like a hound/rott mix. He was the only surviving pup out of an abandoned litter of 6. He weighed around 2-3 lbs and we had no idea what he was or how big he would get(he's 75 lbs now). A friend of mine found them in his barn, and had no idea where they came from...And no clue where the mom was. We visited my friend's place just a few days before moving to Texas, where our kids met Buddy and wanted to take him with us(of course). It was the quickest, most rash, ridiculous decision I'd ever made, to say yes...And I've never regretted it once. I'd only ever had 2 purebred labs, and bought both of them from breeders. Buddy was our first rescue pup, and we haven't looked back since. He's slow, lazy, a little dull, and is the biggest attention ***** ever.  But he's also one of the most loyal creatures God ever created, and I love everything about him. He never left the wifey's side when she was pregnant with our youngest, and slept under her crib from the day she was born until we moved her to her own room. He's been a trainer, brother, & father to every single foster we've had. Kids have ridden him, other dogs chew on him and steal his bed/toys/treats, and he just keeps on going with he flow. He is an amazing animal, and I can't imagine what I would have done without him here with me the last 8 years.
