So DH & I have come to the realization that we are in a restaurant rut. We visit the same few that we seem to have on rotation! DD has a sleepover Friday so he & I would like to go on a date then. What is your favorite restaurant in Kingwood, The Woodlands, galleria area, or downtown? What kind of food do they serve? 4951

Benji's is amazing, I think there's a midtown & downtown location (get the basalmic Brussel sprouts!). Then in atascocita I like Savvas Greek for something different. If you like sushi Oiishi on Richmond is the best I've ever had (get the Holly roll & call ahead to get on the wait list). In Humble I like the Vietnamese Bistro in the same parking lot as Michaels by the mall. 4951

Trust me on this. Frank's Americana Revival on Westheimer. I recommend the Maple Brined Double-Bone Pork Chop. It tastes like steak!

Wow.  Way too many to even begin.  You looking for upscale? casual? somewhere not very expensive so it can be added to the rotation?  I have lots of favorites.FWIT, I was not a fan of the Melting Pot.  It is a cool experience though, you cook your own food at the table fondue style.  I liked the experience, and its a great place for a date.  I was disappointed in the food though. 4951

We just tried Baby Barnabys on Fairview in Montrose area last Saturday. They just serve breakfast. It was fabulous.Brios and Blue Mug Café in the Woodlands are also excellent. Kim Son Café for Dim Sum is another favorite. 4951

DH & I have heard wonderful things about Chimichurri's. We went to try them one night & walked inside in our normal clothes, not too dressed up but still nice, & we got stared down & given the nastiest looks by the staff. I don't know if it was our gauges or because we weren't dressed to the 9's, but we turned around & left. 4951

Upscale or casual. Not really worried about price but not looking to drop a car note either. Just somewhere with good food that preferably isn't a hole in the wall. And please let me know if it IS upscale so I don't show up underdressed lol. 4951

Have you ever been to Fung's or Ocean Palace for dim sum? I like them better than Kim Son.
