Its my first year having them in my landscape and I'm unsure if I have to cover them with the freeze coming tonight.
 
I thought they didn't need it but as I drove my kids to school I saw a house in elm grove that covered them. So now I'm confused.

I'm pretty sure they'll be alright unless you just planted them within a few weeks and the roots haven't quite taken hold. 4951

They shouldn't- we had some in the ground in Ohio and they would get covered in snow and ice. But maybe the roots(?) if it's in a small pot. But then again the soil would take a couple of days of below freezing temps to get cold enough to hArm the roots 4951

@Humble Mommy: BTW, see those rocks stacked against the house? Make sure they don't touch the weep holes in the brick. That's a good way for ants or termites to enter your house.
