>> I stopped paying Suddenlink to monitor and my system still functions with the alarm in the attic.Â
@Retired_Engineer: ...and that is all I want. When I called they said someone would come out, disconnect the service so it would no long sound. When I asked about it going off in the attic as you say yours does, she told me no it would be disconnected and not sound at all! ???What??? When we moved in 4 years ago there was an old old system in the house. We had Suddenlink come in and install a new system. They said we would be under contract with it for 2 years. Ok....so now it is 4 years and I only want it to sound like yours. Did they just give me wrong information so I need to call them back and find out if that representative was correct?
@pandi: It sounds like you need to review the contract you had with Suddenlink. When I bought my house about 21 years ago, the security system was installed as part of the house and Suddenlink (or Kingwood Cable as it was back then) was paid just to monitor it. When I discontinued the monitoring, Suddenlink sent a technician to the house to disconnect something. He's the one that confirmed that my alarm in the attic would still sound.
@Retired_Engineer: Thank you. It sounds to me this person
@Suddenlink didn't know what she was talking about. The system was paid in full 2 years ago. Since you said a technician did come out to your house I'm sure she must of been mistaken.
