According to eye witnesses, the gray car was traveling at a high rate of speed and clipped the tan car. Sources are saying it was a grandmother and her grandson in the tan car. Grandmother is the one who died at scene. So sad. Prayers for the family.

Ugh, how tragic. At what point will these kids (and adults) learn to not drive like complete pricks?

@Odin: You're probably right. It makes me sick that this person just turned so many lives upside down, including their own, in a split second of poor judgment.

not necessarily pricks just stupid kids who think it can never happen to them...   Such a shame!!  By the photos I can't figure out what exactly happened.. Did the car go over the rail???  Scary that in a split second lives can be forever changed and or lost.

@GoldenGirl: It didn't go over the rail.  It went up on the shoulder prior to the rail and then hit that first tree and spun around it.  If you look at the pics taken from the khou news chopper you can see the trail.  The tree is tore up so the car must not have hit it head on or it would be mangled.  I'm guessing it hit somehow on the driver's side.

My prayers to out to the family of the deceased.  KW Dr. is a racetrack these days...it's a shame really.

@ Golden Girl.....I doubt it was a young person since the grey car was a Tom Peacock Cadillac loaner car.

Does someone know it was a kid that did this.  Somebody had to work at this, it is hard to believe anybody can get up to that kind of speed on KWD with the traffic and lights.

I see way more 20-30 somethings driving like a holes than our kids. Just my observation. My prayers go out to this family, especially the boy who was with his grandmother.  No matter what his age is, he has a unique process of grief ahead of him, being the survivor. MAY GOD BLESS HIM ABUNDANTLY.
