A woman has every right to go to a bar whether she is married or not. Just like a man. All she has to do is refuse someone else buying her a drink. Tell the bartender ahead of time. Common sense should dictate a female not going to a dive bar. But this is the 21st century, man. Equal rights.
@muffy : you obviously misinterpreted what I stated, plus it was an "OH-pinion"...Even though it has been indicated by the OP to be validated by possible trouble that "could" brew. I never said either a woman or a man couldn't, or shouldn't go to the barr. I was clearly stating in a short, concise breakdown just a few situations that will almost happen with that formula. I have been on both sides of that fence. Married & single. With woman hitting on me to both "get" drinks or smokes. Then casually walk back to her group of friends, usually a boyfriend. (Who knows?...maybe a husband?) And, when I was married, tried to get out, relax a little when our son was but a wee-bot. Parenting will do this to you., and some smuck passes at was then my wife. Protective or not, it just doesn't make sense to even be in a situation easily avoidable. If any man enjoys watching another man oogle his wife or girl, by all means do so. It is actually "kinda" healthy to know that person-the husband can be confident his partner will go with him. But, why do it ion a bar scene? You can get the exact same results anywhere outside of a bar w/out the probability factor of something getting out of hand. I'm not questioning anyone's view or standpoint. I was pointing out what I have both been through & what I wouldn't do now...that I'm a little older/wiser...JS 4951
