Cuba is a mess right now, from an ongoing de facto blockade by the US…widespread, persistent blackouts…no oil/gas, nobody can afford to drive anywhere, medical supplies running dry, supply shortages of basics… the US has blocked fuel shipments, and threatens tariffs against anyone who does supply them…totally devestating to the whole country…I'm surprised the US can be this brutal to another country and have it get such little coverage or awareness among the public. This is a pretty good video of the current situation and daily life there right now…

So trump wants to torture them, then swoop down as a liberator--of the US?

I think all this "Award" business for Trump goes back to when he owned the Miss Universe Pageant and he owned that Big Miss Universe Crown. He wants to be like his favorite person. Anyone have an Orb????

I wish I could say I am surprised, but cruelty has become so normalized these days. Like all the mass shootings now, people used to react, but now we don't even get our representatives to placate us with thoughts and prayers. You can trace some of our current state of being to 2010. That's when the Supreme Court made its decision on Citizens United, and our representatives stopped representing us and started just working for corporations. I'm impressed with Hawaii and Montana for finding a loophole to get rid of the lobbyists. I think if we could manage to worry about the needs of the people instead of the wants of corporations and a handful of billionaires, we might be in a better place.
