SkynetAware : Don't be THAT person. People who drive like they're on 99 on surface streets are scary.

However, is it legal for them to go on the trails either? It says no motorized vehicles, but there are electric bikes and scooters, so why not golf carts too?

I don't mind the golf carts on side streets if adults are operating them. I'm near the Deerwood course so they are a common sight. However, I have seen young children operating them and that makes me gasp.

I happen to know someone (in another state) whose child is in a permanent paralysed state due to falling off the back of a golf cart and hitting her head on a curb when she was 8. This was being driven by an adult friend of the parents-driving responsibly. There were other children in the cart and no bumps were hit, the child just fell for no explained reason. There wasn't a restraint on her. It is a tragedy for all.

They are not as safe as people might think.

Exactly. Every time I see kids in a golf cart I cringe. It is not safe.
