Nope-- not doing it. Why replace a good fence? We have to fix them often enough after hurricanes. They want it, they pay it.

Unknown :
We could do that, however right now we have cedar pickets on both sides. The fence is only 4 years old and in great condition. I don't know why they want to replace the existing fence.

I don't mind splitting it 50/50 but feel that a new fence should be the same as the one they want removed.

#msg6019739TEXASGIRLMAMMA : people! I did a new fence to repair some storm damage & some wear & some bad posts. One of the neighbors said they won't pay for any of it, one said they would pay their share but didn't, and the 3rd wanted it be all cedar with alternating boards. So I paid for it all and had the guys do it the way I preferred! With our dogs, I didn't want alternating boards that would allow more chew places.

msuz : I understand! When we first moved here we put up a fence. Half of the houses never had a fence or they were only 3 1/2 feet tall. Our house backs up to 7 homes. Of the 7 only 2 paid half the cost of materials and hubby did all the work himself. It is time for a new fence. The neighbors are all the same so I am expecting to pay for another fence. Oh well, I like my privacy and I will do the fence the way I want to.
