LittleTexas : LOL, It has to be this way cause they will try to keep us as a customer and hold us hostage. I have heard much worse stories about them. I hope this will be the end of my Optimum saga. LOL, If it's not, I'll be back to complain.

And so it begins~~~ Optimum! Yesterday, hubby and I drove up to the Optimum store at Valley Ranch and returned our modem from the cable. It really felt good to get that $200 a month bill off our heads. Well, They can not cancel your cable at the store. I had to call "the number" and tell them to cancel my service. It took 57 minutes and 50 seconds of my life to get that accomplished. They tried really hard to get me to accept some other service and I did not. I couldn't have been happier to get off the phone when it was all done. This evening I was sorting laundry when my hubby comes in and asks, Why did Optimum send us a new modem? He was there and heard the entire conversation and we both know the cable was canceled. So, Why did they send another modem? I should not have to deal with them any longer! I should not have to call them ever again unless I want their service! Should I just throw it into the trash? I did not order it.

cbear : LOL, It is like the Ex that keeps on reappearing. They offered a phone and internet for only $70 a month. They offered a package that was much cheaper. I already know how they are with their "cheaper" price. It's only cheap for one month even when they say it will be cheap for a year.
TEXASGIRLMAMMA : They make it painful to cancel. I just had a big problem with EZ Fiber. You know they are on call 24/7? You can call and speak to someone and they are helpful. I had a technician out within 2 days of the call. And they too are on call 24/7. Never got this service with Optimum.

Aggie89 : WOW! 24/7 would be amazing! We have decided to go with an antenna and do streaming for now and will see how that goes. The antenna is great and we get lots of channels but we have got to learn how to do the streaming part. We have had the antenna for a couple of months and I can tell you it has been a little painful. I miss my usual programs but I'm getting used to it. « Back to Chat
