TEXASGIRLMAMMA : We resisted the whole house generator for a long time thinking the portable was sufficient. It was doable when my DH was home although it wouldn't support air conditioning. I couldn't physically handle the portable. As he traveled quite a lot for work we finally got a whole house generator; we have never regretted spending the money.

Yesterday's power outage in the Tree Lane/Woodland Hills Drive area My power finally came back on at 6:50 this morning. It went out at 5something last night. That was a long time. At least it was night time and my house did not get hot. Does anyone know what the problem was?
