Shouldn't be open if you can't wash a car properly
Donnawisdom, PlaneCrazy and LittleTexas + 1 more reacted Wow, not good. I went when they opened, as there was a promo for a free wash. Once through, and never went again, as my tires and rims were very dirty, as well as my front grill and under the back spoiler. It was the most Exterior of exterior washes, Ever. I pointed it out to the owner, who was there with an investor, and his response was "that is to be expected in a drive through wash". It is to be Expected that it does not Wash the Car, at a Car Wash?!

Shiners Car Wash SO the Mrs. just called me. She went to Shiners to get a basic car wash, and they pushed an upgrade. OK, they all do that these days (=grumble=) and she decided to take it, paying $20+ for the wash. She noticed that the person with the hose at the entrance gave the driver's side of her car a little spritz, but nothing on the passenger side. After coming out, she got out to check the wash before leaving the property to see how it came out, and found her vehicle was still partially dirty on the passenger side. So, she went in to complain, to be told the brush on the passenger side of the line isn't working correctly right now. Huh? She told my Mrs. the repair was on order. OK, understood -- stuff breaks. OTOH, they're still not only selling full price washes but pushing upgrades when the system isn't even working properly? What's wrong with this picture? They did offer to let her go through again and that time gave it a full pre-rinse. She said it came out OK that time, but still not what she'd have expected after paying for an upgrade. No offense, Shiner's. I know that with only one lane, you can't afford to shut down while waiting on a repair... but charging full price and selling upgrades for a crowbarred wash without even trying to compensate for the problem isn't cool.
I took my truck through there and my windshield got cracked. I pulled in to talk the owner and he said in his 30 years he's never heard of windshield getting cracked. We went in and looked at the video and there was no visible crack but when the truck came out it had a 15 crack. I said the arm came down too hard and he said a rock probably started the crack and the pressure just made it worse. I said that didn't happen. Told him I'd been going to Shiners for twenty years and him and son huddled in an office an offered me a free year membership. Screw that I said, my window is $1100 bucks. I'll never go back to that place again.

I never see anyone at shiners these days. I was wondering if anyone ever went.

They had it all on video! I must say, they were really good about it.
