Horrible Sewer smell near town center and surrounding neighborho
Horrible Sewer smell near town center and surrounding neighborhoods. I know it's been a topic on this forum before. Recently in Greentree I have seen crews working on several locations in the area. I spoke with one of the workers and he said they are washing out the sewers and clearing plugged up areas. He said they have already cleared several bad blockages. He said the sewer lines were backed up in several areas. The last few days I've noticed (while the odor isn't completely gone) it's much improved. Thanks to everyone that reported it to the city. I'm surprised they responded but thankful they have.

PlaneCrazy : wind will be from the north for a couple of days, but COH remedial procedures always take time.

PlaneCrazy : Did you get to ask them what is causing the smell? Storm sewer, so leaves & branches from the roads. Dead raccoons. Blockage possibly from belongings that floated away from Harvey.
ForestFinds : No they were pretty busy and didn't elaborate. He just said the blockages were pretty bad and backed up pretty far.
PlaneCrazy : I saw the sewers getting sucked out over here at green tree. What ever was going on or why I do not know BUT the stink is gone. This needs to be done more often. It definitely was getting worse. We could smell it in our back yard. Nasty.
