I approach it as applying the law to the circumstances that have been captured on video. There's a good conversation to be had about good behavior vs bad behavior and legally authorized actions vs illegal actions.But if you're trying to make the point that attempting to understand the psychology of each side is conversation-worthy, I agree.I genuinely want to know why the deceased and her wife were being trained to resist, disrupt , and obstruct ICE operations when that conduct is quite obviously illegal behavior? That seems unwise. We might even go so far as to say it is a risky endeavor likely to end poorly for anyone who thinks it's a good idea.

I can see how it might hit home if you view modern law enforcement as The Gestapo (like that one lady at today's protest) or view modern law enforcement as a fictionalized version of totally dehumanized and cloned Storm Troopers. One exists to entertain and shoot poorly (even with fuggin lasers) the other exists to enforce long standing US law passed by multiple iterations of Congress by both political parties and finalized by multiple Presidents of both parties. But I think what you are doing (unintentionally) is grooming "useful idiots". You are participating in a psychological conditioning process that absolutely infects vulnerable minds.I think it's risky to promote such a comparison. There are mentally fragile people out there who are gullible enough to buy into the narrative. Once you dehumanize people and begin equating them with "an evil empire" (though a fictional one), it's a reckless endeavor. Haven't we had enough successful and attempted political assassinations over these past few years?And Star Trek is a better series than Star Wars. Kennedy ruined it. But George Lucas bungled it too. It had so much potential.
