If you have friends/family EAST of here..... ⚠️ SIGNIFICANT TORNADO OUTBREAK LIKELY TODAY ⚠️ ⚠️ This is looking more & more like a major tornado outbreak today for Dixie Alley (see map) if this forecast pans out - and it's looking more and more likely that it will - so let your friends/family know if they live in these areas, ESPECIALLY if they're in the large RED highlighted area over central Louisiana and Mississippi.
⚠️ As far as HOUSTON goes, we have a chance for thunderstorms today. Some of those storms could be strong, but the tornadic weather should stay to our east, starting around Beaumont/Sabine River. I'll update if we have any severe warnings here. ....... Severe thunderstorms are expected over parts of the East Texas to Alabama later today and tonight. * LOCATIONS: - Central and southern Mississippi
- Central and northern Louisiana
- Western Alabama
- Far East Texas STRONG TO VIOLENT TORNADOES ARE LIKELY as a very potent negative-tilted trough ejects over the Lower Mississippi River Saturday by early afternoon. ❗ SPC has upgraded this to a LEVEL 4 out of 5 Risk. Supercells that can tap the higher surface dewpoints and stay within or near the axis of the low-level jet should be able to produce long-track EF3+ tornadoes, and several of these will be possible. Have a way to get immediate weather information and to be weather aware! This could be a very dangerous day across Dixie Alley.

- Western Alabama
- Far East Texas
