Tropical Storm Alberto

We have our first storm of the year - Tropical Storm ALBERTO!

It finally became a storm with 40mph winds, but just barely.

This is about the extent of the damage. Pics are Surfside, Jamaica Beach, West & east end. 👍 The Strand has about a foot of water throughout it like it typically does during a storm.

All in all - A good test run, I suppose and just another sign of things to come our way this hurricane season.

Stay informed & prepared. 🌀

Areas just outside of KW have seen some heavy showers this afternoon but so far nothing much here.

Less than .25 total this week.

A few of these outer bands might reach us but they also may stay just to our southwest. (The further SW of DT Houston you are, the higher the rain chances and totals are)

Either way, we could see some rain this evening but we shouldn't see any major issues. 👍

The flowers and lawn could use a bit more; this pace is acceptable :D

StormChaser : If we are going to get anything tropical, this is about as good as it gets for us. Thanks for the update!

teatime : I have to agree! We don't need anything that is more powerful.

Slow4x4 : If it had been able to have more time before landfall, it could have gotten interesting for sure.

StormChaser : I've seen about a hundred cars have water up to the hood. I guess they didn't think it would get so high.
