The base S24 is SO TINY! (Automatically a NO!)

StormChaser : We have 221s. When we bought them 3 years ago, I was coming from a S9+. But I wanted something that would better fit in the front pocket of my jeans w/o hanging out. I didn't think I'd like the S21's size, but as I got used to it, it was fine.

I bought our last phones on Swappa.com. It's a site for resellers of discontinued and slightly used (you filter listings by Fair, Good, Mint, and Good. We haven't bought phones through a carrier since we got rid of our old flip phones 20 years ago.

I have the Galaxy S23 Ultra, and our daughter has an iPhone..My Galaxy takes great pics..was able to get vivid pics of the Northern Lights..The iPhone took really dull pics of the NL. The zoom on the Galaxy is really good..was able to zoom in on a grizzly that was really far away.

StormChaser : I think you should pick is the Galaxy that feels the most comfortable. I've only tried the iPhone once and it wasn't for me. Our company is mainly Samsung for the smoothness of Microsoft Teams. I have the S21 and I Love it!

I have an S24 Ultra. Great phone. It's extremely fast in everything I do. The camera is amazing. Battery life and battery saving options are nice. The only AI part I use regularly is for editing pics of the grand kids, I'm sure I'm missing out by not using this feature more. I went with the 1TB storage option as I don't plan on getting another phone for a long time and with the size of pictures and videos in high resolution, you can never have too much storage.

Not sure what kind of specials T-mobile is having but check Samsung.com to see what specials they have. I was able to get my phone and Samsung watch for around $700 with trade in and discount. They have different discount programs for education, military and others. Samsung is also having a get double the storage special as well. They allow monthly payments if that is the route you are going to go and you can get an unlocked phone so if you decide to change carriers you just need a different sim card.

I love my S24 Ultra. Good battery life, a beautiful display and quick. The AI implementation is good. I use it for the circle to search function as well as some picture manipulation. The only negative I can think of is that it's a tad heavy. I bought it directly from Samsung, trading in my S23 Ultra, using their financing and taking advantage of their military discount. I never liked the fingerprint reader on the S23, the S24 is far better.

I recently upgraded to the S24 (base) from the S20. Don't see much difference in the two EXCEPT that I have a Samsung smartwatch (Frontier) that will NOT pair with the new phone. Samsung states it is because of the AI technology in the phone and no app fix with remedy the program and their solution was for me to purchase a new phone. This reminds me of how Apple does business. They refuse to support older hardware and force the user to upgrade to a newer device. Jokes on them, I refuse to purchase a new Samsung watch, especially for the price. If/when I do upgrade watches, it will probably be for a Fitbit.

Croix : I've had three Fitbit and all have died in a relatively short amount of time, generally less than two years. I decided they were too expensive to die that soon. I switched to a Samsung 6 watch when I got my S24 because they gave an almost $250 discount and I got the watch for $63.74. Only had it since February so I'll see how long it lasts.

BlackDiamond :
They offered me a "discount" to upgrade, but the final cost for the upgrade was about $200. Not worth it for me. If nothing else, I will continue to use mine as a stand alone watch.

Croix :
Yeah. That's why I stopped getting Fitbit, $$$. I never would have got the Samsung watch if it hadn't been so cheap.

StormChaser :
As far as the size, BrendaT has the 24 Ultra and loves it. We have had Notes since they came out and she just upgraded from a 22 Ultra which I am still on. They are essentially both the same size.

I have a Flip open Wallet case that I can fit in one hand. I carry a bunch of stuff in it to. I do not have big hands, never could play the violin well because of it. They are bigger but not that big.

Just a side note, we did a trade-in and were going to do it with Verizon, but got an extra bonus gift card for 100+ dollars. The Samsung guy in Humble BB is really cool too.

StormChaser :
The camera on this thing is the most amazing!!! This is not compositionally the best photo, but I showed thIs to KDC a while back. I took it from my sofa in the family room . The gecko was halfway across my backyard. When I zoomed in, you can see not only his throat, but the screen on the window, and the details on the roof of the house behind us. It's amazing.
