NO kidding- us too!!! You never know how dependent you are on electricity until you are without for a long period of time. You must've lived near us in Sand Creek we were without for 13 days. Power was restored in Ike from front to back
This! I was in forest cove at the time with a 1 year old and 5 months preggers with my second kiddo…it was a crappy 3 weeks, but we made it. Lot of cold showers and sprinklers hooked up to the water-hose.
Yes I just emptied the fridge and freezer oh 😊.. 😅 I was able to book a king sweet at the Hawthorne for 3 days this morning thankfully. My poor husband and son don't know what to do with themselves. I am busting a sweat cleaning as much as I can ðŸ˜â€
We arrived Houston exactly 100 days before IKE. Spent 14 days on apartment balcony with 2 cats. I was used to tornadoes as they are over in 15 mins if it doesn't hit you.
Anyone know who's responsible for clearing those trees from the power lines? HOA? CenterPoint? Seems like a lack of maintenance on someone's behalf contributes to this.
I would like to send my natural gas bill back to Center Point for the time my Generac has had to run because of their failure to maintain their right of way! I have a dedicated meter just for my generator and can show them exactly what natural gas was needed when power was out because they DID NOT maintain their right of ways .
They're connecting the line to the pole.
