Definitely cheaper than divorce. Hope no children were present.

MissAmericanPie: I'm glad she did it for several reasons. Fistly, he deserved it. And,, he will never be able to do that to her or anyone else again and last, but also very important, we dont have to pay for his upkeep.

Happyface : And quite frankly, they get away with the stalking and harassment and threats undeterred the vast majority of the time. I'm sick of it being a crime that ends in violence and death instead of one that takes them off the street.
Notice she reported it to the cops and they have a record yet he was still out free to try and kill her. That is sad. But that's how it is. The laws need to be changed. The way it is now, they WAIT for them to physically do harm. The only good reporting it does is to create a paper trail.

donnatella : Let me revise that. It's sad that someone had to go so far to get killed to stop but I would've done the same if I were in her shoes and terrified. Self defense and he had more than his share of warnings!

MissAmericanPie: yes, they do. I know first hand about that, was being stalked, had been physically abused, and he had purposefully run into me while driving, wrecking my car. This was 40 years ago. Judge said, we cant do anything because he really hasn't done anything, yet. Not even a restraining order.

I am definitely in favor of anyone defending themselves in their own home, especially a battered wife, BUT our DA worries me on cases like this. I do not trust her. I hope this woman is no billed and the DA walks away.

This case is going to a grand jury. There is no way she will get charged in Texas for that.

It's probably the best outcome for this situation. I also have empathy for the woman to have had to have resorted to lethal ending... she will need great therapy to get through the torment of his apparently violent behavior AND having KILLED a man. So sad.
