Govchance : You'd be surprised. I helped one do his taxes last year. Among the earnings he reported were interest from $150,000 in CDs. His reported earnings included $200,000 or so in tips. I assume that if he reported that much there was more. I told him to buy a house in Kingwood and put him in touch with a broker. I don't now where he is but he is probably smiling somewhere in the greater Houston area.

Colony Ridge Land is selling half-acre lots for $25,000 in Montgomery and Liberty counties. The company offers financing for as little as $500 down, but interest runs as high as 12 percent - a rate that is more akin to credit cards than mortgages.
The developer didn't tell buyers that there is no water, no septic, no utilities and roads are not county maintained.

Whether they own or rent, they still pay taxes to the school district either directly as owners or indirectly as renters

sweetie : They're too busy working inside the loop where they don't have to fight the KW 59 traffic going and coming. We certainly don't get much out of the COH except for high water bills.
