I have a large amount of fabric- some on bolts, some are just remnants, but I need to convert my sewing room into a bedroom for one of my kids, so wanting to donate the fabric to a school or church that can use it for non-profit use. Anyone know of a just cause?

jenack : Second Baptist has a sewing group I've heard. Check with them.

St Martha's makes quilts for folks who are sick or need encouragement. They meet Wednesdays at the church. Fabric is so expensive, they would love donations!

Miro2019 : I don't have any animal print. And nothing against animals, but I would rather see it go to humans for use. Sewing has been a big part of my life and I would love to know that I'm helping continue that with the youth of today. I wonder if Girl Scouts do any handiwork nowadays.

jenack : Good luck! I wish I knew a people related organization to recommend but the one I did know of and shared fabric with is no longer in operation. If you find someone, I have a very basic sewing machine I can donate along with the fabric. I believe it is missing the metal bobbin case but should work otherwise.

jenack : If they still have home economics in school maybe they could use the fabric for kids who do not have money for that. I learned to sew in the 7th grade from my Home Economics teacher.
