olemiss1968 : Quick update...Investigator called this morning and per the Kroger surveillance, they have video of the incident. It was a white Mercedes SUV that pulled in spot next to my wife's car, passenger gets out, smashes window and in car and out in less than 10 seconds. Passenger had a hoodie and they were unable to view the license from that specific time. However, they are going into more depth and will keep me posted. BOA surveillance is requiring a subpoena which is being worked on now.

olemiss1968 : Oh that's good!

Crazy because I never go in BOA. But a week ago I had to and as I drove in and parked I noticed a random SUV in the parking lot with the hood open and 2 guys "looking at it". It hit me as strange. They were parked just opposite of the doors facing the street but could see the door as they "worked".

beadweaver : As I recall, year or so ago there was a case in Woodridge where a HO caught a punk rummaging through his car. Punk said he wasn't going back to prison. Well, he didn't 👍. HO handled the situation

Vehicle Break In At Kroger. I usually don't vent but perhaps if anything people can watch out here. Long story short, my wife left Bank of America (inside lobby) this morning and stopped by Kroger (WLH and Northpark). She was in there no more than 3 minutes and came back with the driver seat window smashed and both middle and glove compartment opened. Nothing taken since she had her money on her. Lesson learned. However, the officer we filed the report with said this was the 5th such incident in last two weeks. They believe people may be watched and followed at local banks to their next destination hoping for people to leave their money in the vehicles. In any case, both BOA and Kroger are being helpful with their cameras. Nobody hurt so I'm happy about that.

olemiss1968 : if people would stop feeding the animals, they would move on down the road. It's disappointing to hear of vagrants living in the Liveable Forest....maybe it needs a name change...

olemiss1968 : Yes, so important to watch and be aware of your surroundings! DH went to bank to withdraw cash. I warned him to look out for people who may be following him; if so, drive to the HPD substation on Rustic Woods. Well, lo and behold, he noticed a car following him. The driver of the car changed lanes when DH did, turned on same streets, mimicked everything DH did. So, DH drove to and parked at the HPD substation. The car continued on. Very, very interesting and creepy. I'm so thankful I mentioned the recent incidents being mentioned on this website and another website. Plus, years ago the husband of a teacher here in Humble ISD was followed home from the bank, robbed and shot dead in his driveway. So terribly sad.

olemiss1968 : -Ought to do a trap for the criminal. Set up a police officer as a common citizen, then go to BOA and then to Kroger and being watched by a UC. Find out if its inside the BOA or just someone who watches people go thru the drive in or lobby.

newgranny2020 : He was followed home from the Redbox in front of Kroger Atascocita around 9:00PM. No bank transaction involved. They wanted his vehicle, but freaked out and fled the murder scene without the vehicle. They caught them in Crosby a while after this happened. Idiots got braggy about it, living their tough-guy thug lives.

DH and I usually get our cash from Walgreens, Walmart or the grocery store as cash back. Kroger started charging, so we don't do it there any longer. Seems safer than going to the bank, but you have to be careful there too!

sammee : Thank you for clarifying the details. I guess the common thread in this is that he was followed home and accosted on his own property. Such a horrible thing for him and his family.

olemiss1968 : "Jugging"; Grrrrrrrrr!! They watch the banks like buzzards, and prey on people who need to head to the bank, and then errands. So glad this lady had her money on her, but now she has to repair costs Emoticon This is another reason I do NOT carry a purse in the bank with me, I wear a sports bra with my top. I carry IN a piece of folded paper (same blank one, always in the car, in glove box). They see no purse, and that paper, and think I am going in for loan business, etc. Everything goes on my sports bra. so I look the same coming in and leaving, the paper is folded away, too. I Never use the drive through, or the walk up ATM.
