Some parents are teaching their children to be polite and appreciative. As DH was giving out treats I heard the sweetest little "Thank you" and it melted my heart. Another older child apparently has a speech issue but managed to say "Happy Halloween ". Thank you parents!

We had a huge group of about 12 middle school girls, all dressed up, and all very polite and cute and having fun. Was so nice to see.

SandyKnee : I love that the teens and tweens still do trick or treating! So much if childhood is behind them it is refreshing that this tradition can remain for them !

Kittle : Yes! They're so cute and sweet. Even the big kids were very kind. They all loved Snowball, attention hog. lol. We were out for 1.5 hours and gave out 565 pieces. Mosquitoes were terrible!

You are so right. All the children were so polite. One little girl even told me, "you are so generous." Such great kids.

That is so good to hear! My grands have been taught this since about 10 mo, when they began to speak. I love that "Thank You" sounds like "Tattoo" with those two, and it still sounds Right. Emoticon One thing is for the parents to say Please and Thank You to each other, so that the kids hear that, and it is the norm.
