#msg6039731TEXASGIRLMAMMA : I would rather just vote state and know it will count than risk it. I just read that I have to vote early to even be able to vote state so I guess I won't wait. Hopefully there is something to sign where I can vote all.

Definitely, it was the Texas Secretary of State and the League of Women Voters just verified the information.

#msg6039761The SAVE act that did not pass would have created chaos for many The State of Texas had 600K unprocessed voter registrations and changes of address about a month ago. A fine kettle of fish.
I don't understand how that could have happened. When you moved 2 years ago, did you update your voter registration? Or did you forget to do it until now?

I changed it last year in January, so I don't know why. The county change from Harris to Montgomery is the issue for some reason. It was the Texas code where I read I can only vote state, but the League of Women Voters told me differently. I am just going to go today and see what they say. I read if a jury summons gets returned to sender that can do it. I was getting Harris county summons forwarded after I moved ,so maybe that's why, maybe one got returned instead. I suppose that's what I get for not voting in primaries this year. I would have found out sooner.
#msg6039714My voter registration is suspended! I noticed last week. I have been at my new address for more than 2 years. It makes zero sense. I was able to go online and verify my address and info, but I'm not sure if it will go through by election day. For a change of address, I think it's 30 days, but I didn't change anything. I am reading that I can still vote, but just at the state level. I can't decide if I should just vote early and just do that as I can vote anywhere, or wait to see if my status changes.
#msg6039883Chow : I don't vote straight party.

I found this. I didn't make it today, but I'm going tomorrow. It sounds like I'll be able to vote. This is what the League of Women Voters told me as well: both that it has happened to a lot of people and that I should be able to vote.
Bull Stadium on MCCluskey road just north of valley ranch corner off 59 is where you can vote...take 59 to 1485 and make the u turn to come back south on feeder to McClusky to stadium. Good luck

FreebyrdII : It's been in the news for about three months or longer. I've made several posts. I think
Wanderer had a family member impacted. All you have to do is Google 'Texas Suspended Voters'. You should be able to find plenty of articles.
