4 ton chunks of steel should not be controlled by irresponsible adults. Children have as much right to use our roads as anyone. KW was designed for children to get to school safely by walking, biking and now e-biking. There are very few roads in Kingwood with speed limited over 30 MPH besides the KW drive, NP drive and West lake Houston PKWy.

As did cars, motorcycles, bikes and many other technology advancements. They all had negative campaigns by certain sects of society, but we adapted.
if you fail to see the lunacy behind, allowing second and third graders on up to share roadways with vehicles, then there isn't any more to be said here. Adults can adapt, children should not be put in a place where they must adapt for their safety. That's up to the adults in the room.

First let's not over dramatize this situation. I drive Kingwood roads daily, my encounters are nothing as described here. Yes children play in my street and some ride bikes, that is noted by every driver on my street and caution is exercised, just as if they were playing ball games in the street. I see e bikes mostly on the greenbelts and only on the main roads when crossing, with most crossing at designated crossing and using the lights, that's the majority, is there an outlier, sure but once I see a ebikes on the main road my caution signal goes up. As for drunk or distracted drivers, that is against the law.

So we removed cars from the road, hey that will solve the problem. We all know what times kids go to school, and we have school zones. You paranoia does not match reality. Carry own with your useless crusade, nothing will change. I will continue to exercise caution when driving.

#msg6039539gmankw : Likely do not involve another vehicle? WTH does that mean? Try facts. Quit driving if you do not want the responsibility.
