One of the hardest transitions that I have seen women go through is losing the help and support of their other half. Some women start out from that point with little to no experience in a wide variety of tasks that then fall to them. Some women do just fine; they already know how to do all their husband did or just strap on their boots and rise to whatever the new situation calls for.

I am thinking of you putting along with your lawn mower, not afraid to ask questions to get the job done and just doing what you have to do. That is admirable. I am sure that doesn't change the pain and loss but take comfort and pride in yourself.
