THE 14 year old boy has died after the Dayton ISD school bus hit and run accident. He was in intensive care , critically ill on ventilator downtown. Very sad. Pray for the family, friends, school.
Brantley Conner, an 8th‑grader at Woodrow Wilson Junior High School and a football player, was seriously injured and taken to Texas Children's Hospital, where he received intensive care after he was struck October 16, 2026. His family said he "fought with everything he had" before passing away on October 22, 2026. The bus was operated by Ricky Eugene Cherry, 70, a Dayton ISD driver, who allegedly hit Brantley and then continued driving without stopping to help.

FRUGAL : I read that they were asking for witnesses and video evidence from people who drove by or where near and have knowledge of the accident....Very sad

BELIEVE : This is horrid! Prayers for the boy, his family, and friends. I have to wonder why the bus driver did not stop. I wonder if he could not feel he had run over something being in such a large vehicle or maybe he could not hear it. I wonder if he has been arrested. Does anyone know?
